We are delighted that Dormansland Horse and Dog Show are once again supporting us, along with three other charities, with the proceeds from their 2026 Show. The show takes place on 6th September 2026 at East Bysshe Equestrian, RH7 6LF.
The kind folks at Waitrose East Grinstead have selected us for their Green Token Scheme from July to September. When you shop there please drop your token in the middle box! We are raising money for a new larger pony.
It’s the Chinese year of the horse which inspired the East Grinstead Target Shooting Club to choose us to benefit from their fun shoot day in February. They donated a very welcome £377 to us and their Chairman and ours got together today to hand over a Certificate of Thanks. John Mason and James Baxter posed in front of one of our ponies and riders for the ‘shot’!
We are very grateful to have received a £200 donation today from the Crawley Down and Turners Hill Repair Cafe who once a month repair all sorts of things in return for a donation to charity. One of their volunteers, John Mason, came to see us to receive a Certificate of Thanks from our Chairman James Baxter. It is an excellent endeavour, saving items from the skip while raising money for good causes. So don’t throw it away, visit the cafe!
We are absolutely delighted to receive a gift of a small pony for our smallest riders. The search for a large pony to buy goes on, with nearly sufficient funds raised, but our smaller ponies are getting older too and the gift of Sammy is a boost.
Sue Arrowsmith, of Sunant Native Pony Stud was looking for a good home for her daughters’ pony which they had outgrown. A chance conversation led her to us, and Bronheulog Royal Samsara arrived at Little Brook in early April. She is a 12 year old Welsh Sec B liver chestnut mare and stands at 12.2 hands. Sammy is also narrow, which makes her perfect for our littlest riders, some of whom have hip dysplasia. She has a lovely temperament and will be working with our riders when term starts again on 20th April.
We are enormously grateful to Sue, who breeds Standard and Miniature Shetlands and Fell and Welsh Section B ponies at her Stud in Lincolnshire.
