A Generous Gift for our Littlest Riders

April 15, 2026 at 10:26 am

We are absolutely delighted to receive a gift of a small pony for our smallest riders. The search for a large pony to buy goes on, with nearly sufficient funds raised, but our smaller ponies are getting older too and the gift of Sanny is a boost.

Sue Arrowsmith, of Sunant Native Pony Stud was looking for a good home for her daughters’ pony which they had outgrown. A chance conversation led her to us, and Bronheulog Royal Samsara arrived at Little Brook in early April. She is a 12 year old Welsh Sec B liver chestnut mare and stands at 12.2 hands. Sanny is also narrow, which makes her perfect for our littlest riders, some of whom have hip dysplasia. She has a lovely temperament and will be working with our riders when term starts again on 20th April.

We are enormously grateful to Sue, who breeds Standard and Miniature Shetlands and Fell and Welsh Section B ponies at her Stud in Lincolnshire.

Community Foundation for Surrey Grant

January 28, 2025 at 5:07 pm

We are delighted to announce that we have received a grant from the Dora Fedoruk Memorial Fund, facilitated by the Community Foundation for Surrey, to pay for one of our sessions for St Stephen’s School, South Godstone for the whole of 2025. This generous grant of £2,800 will ensure that one of the school’s group of six children will be able to continue riding for the coming year. The children are some of our best riders, and compete each year at the Regional and National Championships, with great success.

Huge thanks to the trustees of the Dora Fedoruk Memorial Fund and to the Community Foundation for Surrey from all at East Park RDA and the riders, parents and staff from St Stephen’s School.

Kevin Escott, Captain of Lingfield Park Golf Club has kindly decided to choose East Park RDA as his chosen Captain’s Charity. This will be until the end of Season 2025. All fines (i.e. going into certain bunkers and not getting over the ditch on the first) will be donated, plus on July 26th 2025 there is the Captain’s Charity Day and all monies from this will also be donated to East Park RDA. Thank you Kevin.

Welcome support from our generous friends

January 26, 2021 at 10:20 am

Although we have not had any riding sessions since last March, our ponies still need to be cared for and we are very grateful that our many generous friends have not forgotten us. The Sussex Wanderers MG Car Club have donated £1,400, East Grinstead Lions £300 and numerous other private donations total £4,377. This kindness will help us to keep our ponies fed, watered and exercised until we can start riding again. We hope this might be after Easter, for at least one school which can come as a bubble, and are keeping our fingers crossed.
