£10,000 donation from Copthorne Golf Club

January 11, 2018 at 5:27 pm

In November 2016, the incoming Ladies and Gentlemen’s Captains of Copthorne Golf Club chose us as their Charity for their year of office.  They hold various fundraising events and challenges throughout the year, and we were absolutely delighted to be told in December 2017 that they had raised a fantastic £10,180.80 for us.

Dame Judi Dench came to receive the cheque in early January, and a number of members of the Club came to meet her and hand over the cheque.

We were quite amazed by the generosity of the members of Copthorne Golf Club, and would particularly like to thank Sandy Flynn, the Ladies Captain, and Paul Delaney, the Men’s Captain for the year, whose enthusiasm and efforts to drum up support helped to raise this record sum.

Horley Lions Donate £1,500.00

July 26, 2017 at 11:25 am

On Sunday 23rd July East Grinstead Lions held their annual Donkey Derby and Little Brook Pony Club supplied the Jockeys for the day,  (a brave and perilous task!).

Whilst she was there, Sally O’Niell was presented with a cheque from Horley Lions  for £1,500.00 from money raised at their horse show in May, when East Park RDA provided the judges.

This is a very generous donation and a will be a great help towards our running costs, as we have vet fees, farrier fees, insurance etc. to pay, and a hard thing to raise funds for.
