April 3, 2018 at 5:56 pm

The MG Car Club – Sussex Wanderers made us their chosen charity for the third year running last year, and collected donations from their members at each of their monthly meetings.  They visited us earlier this year to present a most generous cheque for £580 from collections during 2017.

Royal Warrant Holders Association generous donation

The Royal Warrant Holders Association have generously donated £1,350 for a saddle and bridle for our riding/driving Dales pony Coke.  The husband of Katie Giddings, one of our trustees, is a member of the association through his business and very kindly applied for this grant for us.  A representative from the RWHA will be visiting us to see Coke in action in June.

£10,000 donation from Copthorne Golf Club

January 11, 2018 at 5:27 pm

In November 2016, the incoming Ladies and Gentlemen’s Captains of Copthorne Golf Club chose us as their Charity for their year of office.  They hold various fundraising events and challenges throughout the year, and we were absolutely delighted to be told in December 2017 that they had raised a fantastic £10,180.80 for us.

Dame Judi Dench came to receive the cheque in early January, and a number of members of the Club came to meet her and hand over the cheque.

We were quite amazed by the generosity of the members of Copthorne Golf Club, and would particularly like to thank Sandy Flynn, the Ladies Captain, and Paul Delaney, the Men’s Captain for the year, whose enthusiasm and efforts to drum up support helped to raise this record sum.

Vote for us to be Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year

June 14, 2017 at 4:53 pm

We are delighted to report that we have once again been chosen for the shortlist of three charities which shoppers at Sainsbury’s East Grinstead branch can vote for to be the Branch’s Local Charity of the Year.  Two years ago we were voted in, thanks to the many supporters who voted for us, and the total raised, including a donation from Sainsbury’s plastic bag fund, was a fantastic £8,210.

So once again we are asking you to support us by voting for us, either in store each time you shop, or online at www.sainsburyslocalcharity.co.uk. Voting opened on Monday, so we are already a couple of days behind, and closes on 25th June.  The winner will be announced between 2nd-9th July.

Please get shopping and get voting!
